Founding framework in development
The eligibility, category and participation framework for the inaugural Film & Stage Awards is being established as part of the institution's founding governance process. Official rules will be published here before any formal entry, consideration or voting process begins.
Each chapter below sets out what the Awards will govern and how approved rules will be published, cited, amended and preserved. Nothing on these pages is an adopted rule. Governance explains who sets policy; Rules explain what the requirements are.

Eligibility
Eligibility establishes which work and which professional contributions may be considered in a given Awards year, in terms appropriate to film and to stage.

Entry and consideration describe how eligible work enters the Awards process. They are distinct from nomination and from recipient selection.

Campaign conduct governs activity intended to influence Awards consideration, and its separation from commercial and editorial activity.

Voting and selection describe how nominations and recipients will be determined, and the integrity principles that govern that process.

Separation
The Awards decide alone.
Recognition by the Film & Stage Awards must not be purchased, traded or secured through improper influence. A relationship with any Film & Stage property confers no eligibility, no nomination preference and no recipient status.
- Advertising
Purchasing advertising does not purchase Awards consideration.
- Editorial coverage
Film & Stage Magazine and Film & Stage TV may report on the Awards. They do not determine Awards outcomes.
- Events
Appearing at a Film & Stage event does not determine Awards recognition.
- Professional network
Film & Stage Network membership does not determine Awards recognition.
- Commercial partnerships
A commercial partnership does not determine Awards recognition.
- Walk of Fame
Film & Stage Walk of Fame recognition does not determine Film & Stage Awards recognition, and Awards recognition does not determine Walk of Fame selection. Each requires its own selection structure, and the Walk of Fame is not governed by the Awards rulebook.
