Film & Stage Awards

About the institution

The Film & Stage Awards

Honouring excellence across screen and stage. The Film & Stage Awards is being established to recognise extraordinary achievement across film and the performing arts.

The proposition

Two forms.
One commitment.

Film & Stage Awards is conceived as a cultural institution rather than simply a ceremony: a framework for recognising creative excellence, sustaining professional standards and preserving an accessible record over time.

  1. 01

    Our Purpose

To recognise extraordinary work and the people whose craft, imagination and collaboration bring stories to life across film and the performing arts.

  2. 02

    Film & Stage

Screen and live performance are distinct forms with equal standing. The institution is being shaped to respect the disciplines, traditions and working practices of both.

  3. 03

    Peer Recognition

The founding model places informed professional judgment at its centre, with eligibility, participation and voting standards to be published before any awards cycle begins.

  4. 04

    A Permanent Cultural Record

Each future cycle is intended to contribute to a durable public record of nominees, recipients, productions, disciplines and creative achievement.

  5. 05

    Independence & Integrity

Governance, artistic judgment and ballot oversight are being designed with clear boundaries from editorial and commercial activity.

The long view

A record designed to endure beyond the moment.

The framework remains in development. Its authority will depend on published standards, responsible appointments and processes that can be examined—not on claims made before the work is complete.
