Film & Stage Awards

Partnership

Marks

The marks of the Film & Stage Awards are lent under licence, for a stated purpose, for a stated time.

Brand licensing

No mark is granted by default.

Use of Film & Stage Awards marks is granted, never assumed. Every licence names its permitted uses, prohibited uses, territory and term, and can be revoked. No partnership, payment or association carries an implied right to the marks or to the official logo.

What a licence records

  • Holder
  • Mark
  • Permitted uses

  • Approving function

Authorised marks

Prepared as architecture, not as artwork.

Nominee and recipient marks are prepared as architecture only. No artwork has been designed, no mark has been issued and no mark may be used to imply a recognition that has not been formally announced.

  • Partner association mark

    No artwork

A licensed mark permitting an approved partner to state their support accurately.

  • Official supplier mark

    No artwork

A licensed mark for an approved supplier, limited to the goods or services supplied.

  • Nominee mark

    No artwork

A future authorised mark for an announced nominee, tied to a specific category and Awards year.

  • Recipient mark

    No artwork

A future authorised mark for an announced recipient, tied to a specific category and Awards year.

The official logo

The official Film & Stage Awards logo is used exactly as issued. It is never cropped, recoloured, distorted, filtered, re-typeset, locked up with another mark, or combined into a joint device for any commercial purpose.

No implied endorsement

A licensed mark permits an accurate statement of support. It never implies that the Awards endorse a product, a service or a work.

No implied recognition

No mark may be used to suggest a nomination or a recognition that has not been formally announced by the Awards.

Partner display

Real partners only, presented plainly.

No partner exists. No logo, name, placeholder or silhouette stands in for one. When partners exist, they will be presented plainly and accurately, with each partnership's type and Awards cycle recorded, and past partnerships preserved rather than erased.
