Partnership

Integrity

The line between funding an institution and influencing it is drawn in the architecture, not in assurances.

Prohibited influence

Seven things no amount of money can buy.

The separation is structural, not a matter of goodwill. Commercial records hold rights of visibility, hospitality and association only; there is no field in which a nomination, a ballot, a recipient or a sealed result could be attached to a partner.

  • Nomination rights

No partner may nominate, propose, submit or advance any person, production or work.

  • Voting rights

No partner may vote, hold a ballot, or receive any entitlement to vote through a commercial relationship.

  • Recipient selection

No partner may select, influence, veto or be consulted upon who receives recognition.

  • Eligibility preference

No partner, and no work connected to a partner, receives preference, exemption or advantage in eligibility.

  • Access to sealed results

No partner receives sealed results, early sight, partial indications or any signal of an outcome before authorised release.

  • Council votes

No partner holds a seat, a vote or an observer position in the Film & Stage Awards Council or its committees.

  • Conflict exemptions

No partner is exempted from disclosure, conflict review or recusal by virtue of their support.

Categories

No sponsored categories exist.

If category partnership is ever permitted, the partner remains visually and operationally separate from every nominee, ballot and result interface. A partner would be associated with the funding of a category, never with its outcome, and no partner name would appear inside a ballot, a nominee listing or a recipient announcement.

Conflict review

Disclosure is not disqualification.

Every material partnership is capable of conflict review under the Governance framework. A partner's commercial relationship with a nominee, a production, a person or another Film & Stage property is disclosed and reviewed where relevant. Disclosure is not disqualification: the review records what exists, and imposes conditions or recusal only where the integrity of an Awards decision could otherwise be questioned.

Industry relationships

A partner's commercial relationship with a nominee, a production, a person or another Film & Stage property is capable of disclosure and review wherever it is relevant to an Awards decision.

Proportionate response

Where a conflict touches a decision, the response is recusal from that decision — not the quiet continuation of it.

Interests and conflicts in Governance

Editorial firewall

Sponsorship cannot purchase coverage.

Sponsorship cannot purchase coverage. No commercial relationship buys favourable, prioritised or protected treatment in Film & Stage Magazine or any other editorial property. Partner-funded content is labelled as such wherever it appears and is visually distinguishable from editorial work.

Film & Stage TV and broadcast

Commercial integration in broadcast and video — Film & Stage TV or any external carrier — is confined to presentation. It has no bearing on which categories exist, who is nominated, how ballots are handled or who receives recognition.

Hospitality

Partner hospitality may exist and is governed separately from voting and recognition. Hospitality is guest experience: it creates no entitlement, no access to voters, no access to sealed results and no standing in any Awards decision.

Data

Awards data is not for sale.

Awards data is not a commercial asset. Voter lists, ballot data, private nominee information, confidential entrant material and sealed results are never sold, licensed, shared, previewed or provided to any partner, in whole, in part, in aggregate or in derived form.

  • Voter lists

    Never sold

The identity and composition of any future electorate is never sold, shared or disclosed to a partner.

  • Ballot data

    Never sold

Ballots, counts, tallies, trends and derived indications are never commercial material.

  • Private nominee data

    Never sold

Contact details, representatives, private correspondence and support requirements are never provided to a partner.

  • Confidential entrant data

    Never sold

Material submitted for consideration, and evidence supporting it, is never disclosed commercially.

  • Sealed results

    Never sold

Sealed results are disclosed to no partner, under any relationship, before authorised release.
