Film & Stage Awards

Film & Stage

Committees

A modular committee architecture capable of supporting only those bodies the institution ultimately requires.

Founding stage

No committee has been established

Only bodies with a clear reason to exist will be established. Committees will not be created because other awards institutions have them, and a smaller independent function will be preferred wherever it can properly perform the role.

Film and Stage are equal foundational worlds. Governance must not subordinate Stage to Film or Film to Stage. Equality of standing does not require mechanically identical committee structures where the industries genuinely require different expertise.

Separation

Making rules and applying them are different acts.

The Council may approve policy without selecting nominees or recipients. A specialist committee may advise on eligibility without controlling final voting. An accounting firm may administer or verify a process without choosing artistic outcomes.

Any liaison between the Awards and the Film & Stage Walk of Fame is ordinarily administrative, brand-related, calendar-related and non-voting unless formal governance provides otherwise. No Walk of Fame committee sits within the Awards Council.
